Shaggalo

Another common plains creature. They are valued by human civilizations for their meat.

The Shaggalo is the main focus of game throughout the civilizations in Deso. While they are not as aggressive as the Horro, their size and their pack mentality are linked to that of the common plain buffalo. They are relatively weak when confronted alone.

Description

The "Shaggalo" is likely a descendent of the North American plains buffalo, but
is about one third of their size. The creature is only about two feet tall and
three feet long. The shaggalo get their name from the thick, shaggy coat of dark
brown fur that covers their broad shoulders and flat back. The heads and
forequarters are massive. Droopy eyes are set into either side of the head along
with a wide nose at the end of its long muzzle. Both sexes have short, curved
horns, which they use in fighting for status within their herd and defense.
Despite their small stature and minuscule horns, the shaggalo are well muscled.
