Sometimes you can find ammo in the Wastelands. This command lets you put that ammo to good use - in your favorite firearm! It takes a second or so, so you usually will want to do this while you are out of combat and are somewhere safe.
Usage
reloadreload reload <weapon/clip> with <clip/ammo>
This command also answers to the name load.
Caveat
- When your weapon has still a magazine with at least one bullet loaded then this magazine is replaced with the first matching one from your inventory. So your nearly empty magazine from your weapon is then the first magazine in your inventory and would be used on next reload. So make sure you refill this magazine from an ammo box or belt for example.
- Reloading an empty firearm that uses magazines will cause the empty magazine to go back into your inventory or the ground if you can’t carry any more weight. You can also use the unload command to eject a magazine from a gun. Depending on the amount of ammo in the magazine, you can refer to it as full, partial or empty. I.e. drop empty magazine
- Just typing reload or reload
only reloads the weapon when the magazine is not located in a container. If you want to reload your weapon from magazines located in your rucksack or duster or whatever then make sure this container is open and you use a command like reload first vp70 with first vp91z magazine. It’s recommended to create an alias for it.
