These men and women are the Desert Rangers version of Special Forces units from the pre-war era, such as Delta Force or Navy SEALs. The title ‘Enforcer’ is reserved for distinguished Rangers who have proven themselves completely loyal to the organization, as well as being battle-proven soldiers who can hold their own in deadly situations.
The Enforcer Squads are primarly a light infantry force sent to take care of dangerous combat missions where most Enlisted Rangers would fail. Every Enforcer is expected to know various battlefield tactics, such as urban combat operations(similar to SWAT) and guerilla warfare. Recruitment standards are rather strict: You almost always need to be brought in by another Enforcer or a high-ranking officer that thinks you are worthy enough to join; because of that the estimated amount of Enforcers within the Desert Rangers is only around two dozen.
Recently, Commander Rastus has made moves to split the Enforcer Squads into two types – Assault and Recon – in an effort to maximize the kind of training each individual Enforcer gets depending on whichever specialty group he or she is assigned to for the duration of their rotation period(about 2 months, minimum). When that period is over, they are reassigned to the other group where they shall recieve training relative to that one.
