Medic

The medic not as tough as the soldier or thief, but in a pinch, is able to recover almost instantaneously due to their extremely high proficiency in the medical sciences. At higher levels, medics can clot bloody wounds, split broken legs, and tell the exact medical condition of the target. More of a party member than a solo artist, the medic is vital in any party situation. The medic suffers the most from melee combat, but is familiar with most types of light weaponry, including sub-machine guns. Also due to their high training in the medical sciences, they are quite perceptive of their environment and are also quite proficient at chemistry. The medic can equip most types of light and medium armor, and is reasonably well at leadership.

At level up the medic will a large amount of mental points bonus, as well as a 10% increase in the max skills in medical sciences. The medic also gets a fair amount of increase in chemistry, as well as health.

The two best stats for medic are quite possibly IQ and CHA, since they are they two primary stats used for most healing processes. However, it is advisable that most medics do not have a negative stat for CON, since they receive pretty bad hitpoints.

Builds

Medics are commonly combined with soldier class to create a sort of ‘combat medic’ class.

Medics are not commonly preferred as a single class by themselves, unless the user prefers to be some really weird class that’s a dedicated healer. Even so this may be a problem, since the medical science skill is not only notoriously difficult to level, but there is no experience gained in using the medical sciences.

However the biggest bonuses that the medic class has is that it’s able to have extremely low downtimes, and able to heal near instantly for large amounts of health at the higher levels. However, this means that they’re pretty bad in single one-on-one combat. The lack of an in-combat heal is also a problem.

Typical medics will attempt to use a firearm in combat. I fully recommend a weapon that can burst, as the 3x damage modifier will come in handy to stop opponents before they do too much damage.

Instead, most users combine medic with either a thief or a soldier class in order to have a good skill and health progression.
