The Badlander Pit - Foyer [east, northeast, southeast, west] Bloodstains and graffiti cover the walls. Phrases like “Phear Sorlag” and “Spike Owns You” are written all over the cracked cinderblock walls. The smell of dried blood and dead bodies permeates your nostrils, and for a second you think you are about to vomit. To the East is the main arena, and locker rooms are Northeast and Southeast. Welcome to Ground Zero’s branch of The Pit. A small sign hangs here explaining the rules of The Pit. The Pit message board hangs here. [97 notes]
Kirov, the Spetsnaz Captain 1st Grade Enemy, the Gang Poser
Kirov looks at you. Enemy shrugs, “Man, what you lookin’ at?” Kirov studies you for a moment before extending his hand. “Greetings, I am Kirov. How do you do.” Enemy smirks, and smacks the message board with his pool cue, “Can you read, punk?” Kirov smiles thinly, nodding. “I notice you are new pit champion.” Enemy smirks, “Champion? Man, I don got no belt. Why don’ you get straight who I am, ‘fore you start kissing my ass.” Kirov tilts his head slightly, still smiling at you as he withdraws his hand. Kirov says: I would assume that you Enemy, one who write on board. Enemy smacks the board again, with more authority, and anger in his voice, “Three days man! Three fucking days, punks like you been reading that board. And not a damn one of you respond!” Kirov furrows his brow. “I do not fight for sport, but I am sure many others want to.” You echo: Enemy’s voice gets louder with every sentence, “I am not a very demanding man! But when I speak, I like to get a response! What did I get?” Enemy’s voice echos through the room, and down the hall, “Nothing!” Kirov smiles again. “But, you did not ask question.” Kirov gets a glint in his eyes as he stares at you patiently. Enemy grows angered by the scarcasim, “You’re right, I didn’t ask a question.” Kirov leans nonchalantly against the cold cinderblock wall. Enemy straightens up a bit, “I suppose I’ll start now.” He walks closer to Kirov, backing him closer to the wall, standing in his face, speaking in a low voice, and filled with hate, “Do you want your fucking ass beat?” You tighten your grip on your pool cue. Kirov keeps a steady expression as he looks into your eyes. “I already say, I do not wish to fight. Maybe you find someone else to take out your anger on, no?” Enemy laughs softly, “Don’t want to fight?” Kirov brushes past you as he makes his way to the west.
–Enemy persues Kirov to the bar
The Ground Zero Bar [east, south, north, west] You enter the Ground Zero nightclub. It’s a kinda secluded place, away from Needles and Quartz, but still close by. The place is lit by some red lights, which cast a very sinister glow upon this room in particular. You see the patrons…most of them gangers and punks. Looking closely, you notice that all of the gangers are members of the Badland Originals. A rather large man with a mohawk smokes a cigarette, standing behind the bar. You hear extremely loud music being played to the east. Glancing over, you see people slam-dancing in a moshpit while some punk band screams vulgar lyrics into the microphone. To the north is a huge metal door. To the west is a dark room concealed by a curtain. To the south of here is the front door…leading out into the wastes. You see the all-too-familiar Guns N’ Booze Vending Machine(tm) sitting in the corner. An old wooden rack is here, where Treis’s guitar used to be mounted from. Minion, the most brutal bartender in all the wastes, stands here.
Kirov, the Spetsnaz Captain 1st Grade Rudy, the Loudmouthed Lout Enemy, the Gang Poser
Enemy catches Kirov by the arm, “Where you going buddy?” Rudy enters, breathing heavily and loudly. Kirov looks at Enemy coldly in the eyes for a moment, then turns his head to Rudy. Kirov looks at Rudy. You ask: Why you gotta walk away from me like that man? What, you scarred or something? Rudy’s gleaming yellow eyes flash as he sees Enemy holding Kirov’s arm. Enemy smirks, “Whos the freak?” Kirov turns back to stare at Enemy again. “I do not frighten easily. You only disturb my patience.” Rudy grins, exposing his sickening, rotting teeth. Enemy shakes his head, “No, I think you’re scarred. And you should be. Because I’m crazy man. I could snap at any minute, man.” Enemy violently smacks his pool cue against the bar, “I could snap right now!” Kirov pulls his arm away from Enemy, glancing at Rudy and narrowing his eyes. Rudy licks his lips, staring eagerly at Enemy. Enemy turns to face Rudy, “What do you want?” Kirov remains silent, staring at Enemy. Rudy grins again as he opens his gleaming yellow eyes even wider. Enemy grunts, as if he’s not impressed. Rudy nervously bites at one of his long, disfigured fingernails. Kirov rolls his eyes and turns to walk towards the door. You say: Yeah, you better run, punk. Kirov doesn’t look over his shoulder as he walks slowly out the door, smacking Rudy with the back of his palm on his arm on the way out. Kirov leaves south. You smirk. Rudy remains standing in the doorway, hunched over at staring at Enemy. You shout: If I catch you again Kirov, I’m gonna beat you down! Enemy turns to Rudy, “Just what is it that you want, gimp?” Rudy rubs his pale forehead, not saying anything. Enemy sits down at the bar, mumbling, “God damn freak.” Rudy turns and looks out the door for a moment. Rudy starts spasming in a coughing fit, hacking up bile all over his boots. Enemy looks over his shoulder, and shrugs. Enemy mumbles to himself, “Fuck this, I’m going back to bed.” He points at Rudy, “You– whatever you are, don’t break anything.” Rudy starts heaving in and out. You arch your eyebrow. Rudy makes a strange grunting noise at you. Enemy nods slowly. Rudy grabs a chair and slowly sits in it. Enemy stands up from the bar, and heads North, “And if you see that bitch Kirov, let him know I’m after him.”
–Enemy goes to the Ground Zero attic, where he rests for several hours. He wakes up some time the next day.
The back hallways of the Ground Zero [east, north, west] This is the hallway of the Ground Zero…away from the bar and moshpit area. This place is used as the Badland Originals’ hangout for the gangers. Anyone not in the gang isn’t supposed to be back here. There’s old posters of the Vandals, Sex Pistols, Sonic Youth, Minor Threat, Fugazi, and a tiny shrine to Sid Vicious on the wall. To the east you see a small room with a rather sly thug sitting at a table full of weapons. The hallway, however, continues north. The Badland Originals bulletin board hangs here. [88 notes]
Outkast, the Vicious Thug [idle 4m]
Enemy walks into the room, with his pool cue in hand. He nods respectfully twoard Outkast.
Outkast looks over at Enemy and grunts. Enemy knocks some dirt off of his boots, “And you are?” Outkast turns back towards Enemy again, “They call me outkast.” Enemy nods, “Outkast, yeah, I heard about you when I was livin in Kansas.” Enemy glances over at the message board, “I think I’m gonna head out later. Find someone to beat.” Outkast nods. Enemy pushes the door open with his pool cue, “Later man.” Outkast nods. You open the wooden door.
–Enemy goes to Despair, where he runs into Tuyen
East Raven Street [east, northeast, west, northwest, north] Wretched stenches fill your nostrils as you walk amongst this section of the road. Bodies of small, dead animals litter the gutters and streets, amongst the trash and garbage. To the north, is an old, gray, wooden house, slowly falling into itself amongst the desert sands. More towards the northeast, is a large half-brick bar. The sign above it’s door flickers a little, and is somewhat visible from where you are standing. To the east, Raven Street loops to the north, around the delapidated building, and further into the wretched city. The air is quite cool. Tuyen, the Initiate of the Winds Enemy, the Gang Poser
Enemy walks down the street, with his pool cue in hand, glancing over at Tuyen with a cold stare. You look at Tuyen. Tuyen stands here, his spear drenched in a eerie deep red sheen of aterial blood. He returns the stare, with a deadfish expression. Tuyen looks at you. Enemy smacks the road with his pool cue, and approaches Tuyen, speaking in a gruff, angered voice, “You! Do you know who I am?” Tuyen tilts his head slightly, watching the Hostile man approach. He replies somberly. “No.” Enemy runs his fingers through his short black hair, the response seems to have made him even more angry, “Well why the hell not?! God! I come here, shouting at the top of my lungs, and no one knows who I am!” Tuyen’s eyes study the Man, who seems to radiate anger. He maintains his deadfish and calm expression. “What makes you so worthy of attention?” Enemy motions to himself, “What makes me worthy? You!” He points at you with his pool cue, “You should feel proud, to be standing before me!” Tuyen’s lips are tugged into a thin, razor-sharp smirk. “Why?” Enemy grows more angry from the question, “Why?! Do you want to see why?” Tuyen nods slowly, somewhat curious as to what the answer might be. Enemy draws his arm back, pool cue in hand, looking ready to strike at Tuyen. Tuyen, with one hand, flips his spear over, and stabs the bloodied blade into the ground, before corssing his arms. Enemy smirks, and coldly smacks the spear with his pool cue, knocking it loose, as it falls to the ground. Tuyen raises an eyebrow, looking down to his spear, then shifting his gaze back onto Enemy. “Have i missed something?” Enemy shouts, “You’ve missed a lot! I’m a man not to be messed with.” He begins shouting even louder, “And you have made me very fucking angry!” Tuyen looks amusedly confused. “You knock over my poor spear, and demand respect, stranger. What would be your reaction, in my position?” Enemy twitches briefly in response. Tuyen’s features slowly stretch into a smile. “Exactly.” You notice Enemy is breathing slowly, more concentrated. He twitches on occasion, and grips his pool cue tightly. He looks like he’s about to explode. It takes a moment for Tuyen to notice this, but when he does, he lowers his brow, narrowed eyes peering at you from underneath it. His body visibly tenses. With authority, Enemy kicks the spear down the road, as he violently and without warning, swings his pool cue twoard Tuyen’s midsection. Tuyen turns to watch his spear slide down the road, releasing an “Oof!” and stumbling backwards as the Cue connects with his Torso. Enemy towers above Tuyen, as he swings his pool cue twoard his head. Tuyen growls lowly, his teeth grinding with a hidden fury. He brings his hand up to block, the Cue slamming into his forearm with great force. Enemy sees an opening where Tuyen moved his arm, and kicks twoard his chest. Tuyen’s eyes open slightly, taking the full brunt of the kick to his chest, but instead of falling to the ground like a rag-doll, he stumbles back again, grabs the Hostile Foot, and throws it upwards with all the force he can muster. Enemy loses his balance, and falls to the ground. He rolls away from Tuyen, and uses his pool cue to help get to his feet. Teeth still clenched tighyly, he stalks over to Enemy position, and rears his fist backwards ready to strike. He seems to be internally glowing with a hidden power, which he seems tob e drawing upon. Enemy stands there, like a brick wall, as he says in a low, cold voice, “Hit me.” Tuyen doesn’t pause, and with one swift movement, thrusts his clenched fist forward, putting the full momentum of his body into the blow. Enemy stumbles backwards, grunting loudly. He clenches his teeth, hearing soemthing crack inside him, as he fumbles to the ground. He slowly, and almost effortlessly stands back up. Tuyen looks at his fist disbelievingly a moment, then back up to the now even more furious than before stranger. He shakes his head quickly, snapping himself out of it, before resuming his fighting-stance, and bringing his other fist forward, like lightning from a clouded sky. Enemy ducks to the left, narrowly avoiding the blow, as he charges foreward, trying to tackle Tuyen. Tuyen is left overextended, and the fury inside him quickly flares. He tries to bring his left elbow up, and thrust it at the Stranger as he approaches. Enemy is cought by the elbow, taking it in stride as he continues to push foreward into Tuyen with his tackle. Tuyen grunts as he is pushed over, and tackled to the ground, his body thumping against the broken street. Without thinking, he slides his right knee up to his chest, ready to push him off. Enemy swings his fists at Tuyen’s stomach in a wild rage, with his teeth clenched tightly. Tuyen cries out, as the fists ram into the sensitve area of his stomach. He glares into Enemies eyes, and he bares his teeth in a full-faced expression of pure anger. Enemy glares back, as he closes his eyes, and attempts to headbutt Tuyen. Tuyen takes the blow, his head smacking into the hard concrete beneath him, causing another dealing of damage. He takes a moment to recover, but looks mightily angry when he does, and attempts to roll Enemy over, and give him a dosage of his own medicine. Enemy continues rolling down the road, smacking into the delapidated building, underneath Tuyen. Tuyen spits blood, not hesitating in sitting upwards, and swinging his fist in a Right hook to Enemy’s head, following through with the elbow. Enemy’s head is smacked hard into the ground by the blows. He lays there, seeminly out of it. Tuyen pauses, his Right fist still ready to deliver anothe blow, then relaxes, and rolls off of the stranger, leaning on the building next to them. A sly grin crosses Enemy’s face, as he jumps up, rushing at Tuyen, pushing him into the building. Tuyen opens his eyes shocked at his opponents endurance, before getting slammed violently into the wall. Enemy takes a step back, blood gushing from his head. He dosen’t care, as he grips his pool cue in both hands, and swings it twoard Tuyen’s stomach. Tuyen moves to act far too late, still thrown out by the fast attack. The cue slams into his Stomach once more, and he cries out again. Enemy, holding his pool cue with authority, attempts to stab the cue into Tuyen’s stomach Tuyen his eyes widen at the prospect of the Fatal attack, and he brings a Hand up to snatch the Cue’s tip, throwing it off course, watching it thud into the ground. Enemy stands there, trying to regain his grip on his pool cue. You can literly see the anger lifting arround him. Tuyen flicks the knife around in his hand in a show of Prowess, coughing a little blood at the same time. He sits there, staring at you, waiting for your attack, almost defiantly. Enemy starts to swing his pool cue at Tuyen, stopping and pulling away. Almost mocking Tuyen. Tuyen leaning against the wall, he uses it to balance himself as he slowly rises to his feet, the Knife still hovering in front of him, ready to lash out at a moments notice. Enemy suddenly lashes out, gripping his cue with both hands, and swinging low, twoard Tuyen’s legs. Tuyen grunts as the Cue connects with his Knee, and he tumbles downwards again like a Bowling pin. He as falls forwards, he lashes out with the Knife, somewhat desperately. Enemy almost feels sorry for Tuyen, as the knife misses it’s mark entirely. Enemy punctuates the attack, swinging his cue down upon Tuyen’s head. Enemy smirks, kneeling down, whispering in Tuyen’s ear, “When they find your body, when they see your scars, when they ask who did this to you.” He spits a mouth full of blood on the ground, “Tell them it was The Enemy.” Enemy stands up, and walks away. Calmly, he walks away.
–Enemy returns to The Badlander Pit, where he posts a note to the message board.
For days, I’ve been warning you. I’m a dangerous man. But none of you took notice, none of you payed any attention.
And now look what happened. Just as I promised, I gave a man a vicious beating today. Hell, I don’t even know what his name was, he’s some Tribal bastard I ran into. He didn’t know who I was. He didn’t respect my power. And now he paid the price, as he lays in Despair. Battered, broken, beaten. Hell, he may even be dead.
Like I care.
I told you. All of you. Watch your back. Because I’m gonna be redefining Hardcore.
The Enemy
–Enemy goes to the attic of GZ, where he again rests for several hours.
