PLAYER COMMAND: describe
This command lets you enter the description people see when they look at you. For a broader understanding of the processes involved in playing a believable character, check out the RP Guide which has helpful hints on character description.
General guidelines for character descriptions
Descriptive is the key. Imagine your character, without reference to the specific situation he or she is in at that point, and describe what an impartial viewer would notice.
Avoid including actions, such that your character is supposedly scratching or taking a drag from a cigarette EVERY time somebody looks at ’em. Can you imagine how that breaks the believability of your character? Their actions are puppet-like, triggered by somebody else every time they glance at them.
Don’t try to dictate the viewer’s reaction to your character. If you want to have a scary, imposing character, play out scary and imposing actions. Remember that there are always going to be better established badasses in the Wastelands and if your puny description attempts to tell them that they’re afraid, or creeped out, by your character every time they look at him, you’re making yourself look unimaginative and stupid.
