Deek was one of the earliest adventurers in the wasteland, if not the very first active character.
He ran about and killed the wandering monsters in the wasteland for a very long time. When Deek first left the Ranger Center, there was nothing but desert – no river, no radiation, and nowhere else to go. Eventually Deek found a cliff where he killed birds. One day a city appeared on the horizon and Deek went to killing punks and selling their leather jackets and combat knives. Eventually Deek could kill the mutants in the graveyard. For all this, Deek was trusted with a proton axe – seeing as how guns really didn’t work.
With his trusty proton axe in hand, Deek wandered off into the wasteland and was never seen again. Yet, his legacy lives on and now everyone can “deek” their opponents with the social, just like Deek did back when Desolation first started.
