The concept of censorship is somewhat antithetical to the culture of Desolation. In fact, if you’re the type who requires a language censor, you’re almost certainly going to be offended by Desolation’s risque elements and characters, hell, we’ll probably have hurt your feelings by the end of this wiki entry, you pansy.
Regardless, the censor command exists to toggle language filtering on a per character account basis. Rude words will be replaced by somewhat amusing gibberish before they’re sent to your mud client, protecting your innocent virgin mind. (Un?)fortunately, while individual words are replaced, the meaning of what somebody’s saying is generally still conveyed, making this command ineffective as a defense against the truly perverse things that get expressed on a regular basis. But, shit, if you’re actually vulnerable to that sort of thing, what the hell are you doing on the Internet anyway? Why hasn’t Net Nanny* blocked our site for you? and why did you venture off’ve jesus.net in the first place?
‘* Martha Stewart endorses it, and that bitch -knows- what’s good for you.
Note
Turning the censor on is NOT an alternative to adhering to the age limit of the MUD.
