The Cabbit is very common to the scrub and grasslands of New Nevada and the Dark Coast. They are highly adaptable creatures and seem to thrive, despite being hunted for meat and fur by both larger predators and human scavengers.
A Cabbit is not known to be aggressive though they are known to defend themselves through the use of their sharp fangs. Their origin is yet to be determined, though their genetics may link them to Darwin at some point. They are often found to traveling in small packs, like that of the common Shaggalo. It has been observed that while most Cabbit’s coats of honey and gold fur, some Cabbit’s have black fur and albino mutations are more common than in other mammals. There may be a link between albinism and the mutation which caused the origination of the species.
Description
A "Cabbit" is an ancient animal of lore, the combination of a cat and rabbit. Atonce, they were considered very rare and very special, but rare enough thattheir existence was doubted. However, now they seem to flourish in manygrasslands of what was once southern America. The Cabbit is only about a footlong, covered in soft fur that is a mixture of honey and gold in colour. It isvery stocky and rounded in appearance, with a short back, long hind legs, smallpink nose, no tail, and floppy ears a few inches in length.
