The ansi command is used for turning ANSI colors on and off. Colors are enabled by default but if your telnet or MUD client has problems with colors then you might want to turn them off. Typing the command without an argument will tell you what your current ANSI color status is. If you want to change the colors used for various things then use the colours command.
